📢 Community Update – Hindley Neighbourhood Policing Team

This week officers from the Hindley Neighbourhood Policing Team — including our newest team member, PC BROPHY — were deployed to Market Street and the surrounding areas of Hindley following multiple reports of youth-related anti‑social behaviour.

Over the weekend, groups of youths were reported to be:

Working closely with our partners in local schools, education services, and Wigan Council, we identified several of the ringleaders involved. As a result:

👮‍♂️ Addresses were visited,
👥 Parents and guardians were spoken to, and
⚠️ Formal warnings were issued regarding their child’s behaviour.

We have made it clear that if these individuals are identified again, further action will be taken, which may include formal sanctions.

As part of our ongoing prevention work, officers will also be delivering targeted talks to selected year groups in local high schools to address behaviour, consequences, and community impact.
